Training school "Numerical modelling of WECs using SPH models" Campus de Ourense, Universidade de Vigo, Spain 22/01/2020-23/01/2020

The training school is organised by Dr. Alejandro Crespo from the University of Vigo, Spain.

The agenda includes the topics:

  • Numerical hydrodynamic modelling for WECs

  • The Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics method

  • The DualSPHysics code

  • Applications in coastal engineering

  • Practical session I: Dam-break, Regular waves

  • Coupling with Chrono and MoorDyn

  • Your own experience with SPH

  • Practical session II: Point absorber, Moored device

  • Practical session III: OWSC, Pelamis

WECANet offers a grant of (500 EUR/person) for 25 persons.
